My students need an overhead flow table to SEE how the Earth works.

Can you imagine trying to understand the tides with out ever seeing the ocean? Understanding the world with out seeing it is the challenge my students face everyday. This over head flow table will allow me to visually demonstrate many Earth science concepts instead of just describing them.
My students are great.
I teach geophysical science to 9th and 10th graders at an urban transient district. Most of my students have never left the state. They dream of what the rest of the world might look like and base their concept of the world on what they see on television. My district is transient which means that we lose and gain 30% of our student body every year. We also have over 50% of our students on free and reduced lunches. My students try so hard to understand science concepts, but it is hard to learn when you are hungry or do not know how long you will live in this district. They try every day to learn and dream of a brighter future.
The overhead flow table is a great resource for demonstrating many Earth science concepts. My students will be able to see the convection currents through a volcano, pollution infiltrate a groundwater system, the water cycle, air fronts, plate tectonics and much more. When asked questions about these topics they will be able to think back to the beautifully visual overhead flow table and recall what happens with the land, water, and air.
My students really want to see and understand the world around them.
Please give any amount you can to supply them and me with the tools to view and understand the world in an all new way.
