Help me give my students a welcoming space. My classroom was recently relocated to an older space with minimal storage and outdated features. Help me create a warm, organized, and welcoming environment where my inner-city students can thrive.
At the end of this school year, my school underwent a major reconfiguration. As a result, I was moved from a newer classroom—with ample storage and modern features—to a much older room in need of serious sprucing up. While change can be exciting, this transition has come with some real challenges. We need borders, LED lights, a bookcase and more.
I teach in an inner-city school where many of my students face tough circumstances outside of the classroom.
Inside the classroom, I work hard to make sure they feel safe, supported, and inspired every day. A warm, welcoming, and organized environment helps students focus, feel valued, and truly thrive—and right now, my new room is anything but.
I’ve already invested a lot of my own time and money into making this space better, but I need help bringing the rest of my vision to life.
