Help us learn our ABC's! We love to sing the ABC's and play different games to help us learn and memorize the letters and their sounds!
My class is comprised of 22 students.
They come from many racial and ethnic backgrounds. Our school is an elementary school grades K-5. We have a very high free and reduced lunch count. Some of my students have attended the special education/language pre-school in our building, some have attended Headstart, but many have no prior school experience. We are in the state of Washington.
My Project
This alphabet rug will inspire and influence my students. They will be drawn to the bright colors and interested in playing letter games on a daily basis. My hope is that this rug will encourage my students to work even harder to learn the letters and their sounds.
This project is so important to me because I want to expose my students to the alphabet as many times and in as many ways as possible.
My goal is to teach my students to read, what a great start they will have with the alphabet at their feet!
