My students are the greatest! They are passionate learners who are really interested in Math, Science, Social Studies, and P.E. They are dedicated to gaining new knowledge and skills in Language Arts and Math and are enthusiastic learners.
Our classroom is student-centered, where equity of student voice drives the learning environment.
The children use talking sticks when sharing and reflecting in their groups. Good listening skills, respect and kindness to others is practiced. And students are paired with Reading Partners for support for literacy. A variety of hands-on manipulatives are incorporated into our Math practice. Lately,
The children really care about their learning and it is so rewarding to watch how much progress they are making.
My Project
Students need sight word and phonics practice with whiteboards, markers, and erasers. Students need more art supplies for sensory development. More Social Studies resources to build a better understanding of our world would be spectacular! We also need P.E. equipment for Free Play time.
As our students are mostly English Language Learners, the more opportunities to build language development through visual and kinesthetic understanding would benefit our children.
Our students are the most successful for they can continually practice the content taught and track their progress. The more visuals the better, especially when it comes to learning our numbers.
We appreciate opportunities to enhance our classroom so that it is best suited for the needs of our kids. Resources for scaffolding students' understanding of the content will help the children be more confident in learning their new skills. Therefore, the resources suggested would be greatly appreciated.
