Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students sometimes experience a learning slide over summer break. June is a critical month of learning and development for first and second graders, and continuing learning at home can help greatly. I want to send home books and tools that will keep them learning after school is released for summer.
My goal is to provide students with meaningful, high-interest literature and activities that will keep the learning going and engage families in learning at home.
In the workbooks, they can review what we have learned thus far in first grade and second grade. We need sunglasses and fidget supplies to stay healthy over summer. The books will be for the students to read at home. Everything will go in gift bags to make it extra special!
