My students need Scholastic News, Grade 2, Scholastic News, Grade 3 to non-fiction text.

My Students

My students are a group of highly energetic, amazing children with Behavioral Needs in grades 2 - 5. Many students with Behavioral Disabilities have difficulties in learning new information, communicating, and social interaction.

My students are most engaged through hands-on learning activities and computer-based learning.

My students range in both grade levels and academic levels. Finding activities that can encompass all my learners can be difficult! I teach in an urban elementary school in Milwaukee with a high poverty rate. All of my kids have excellent attendance and have a LOVE of learning!

My Project

What a better way to introduce and expose children to the world around them than through Scholastic News! The Scholastic News supscription will be a great addition to our curriculum while offering the students the opportunity dive into and learn more about non-fiction texts.

By donating to our classroom, you will be helping to

increase student attention, focus and ultimately increase their academic achievement in reading, writing, math, science and social studies. I can't wait to see the excitement when the first editions arrive!

Students will be able to share their knowledge with those around them as they explore all the different topics that Scholastic News has to offer! My students are very appreciative of those who donate to our projects because they know that others then care about their learning.
