My students need this document camera to give them the ability to view things easier such as text books which school funding is short on. Many purposes will be served.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Go Green! What technology didn't bring us 10 years ago, we now have at our fingertips. Having a document camera in the classroom will allow us to explore new areas of education. I will be able to share books with students where there aren't enough copies, and display worksheets instantly.
The students in my class come from a low income area.
Some of them do not have computers at home. It is a normal classroom with students that range from needing some help to needing all the help I can offer. They are very sweet students who need a lot of help focusing in class as well as staying motivated.
My Project
Having the document reader in the classroom will allow us to share things on the board that I would otherwise have to pass around and take up more time. It will also allow us to go green and make less copies of worksheets because they will be displayed. Books that are low in supply will be available by scanning the pages instantly. This will help with student achievement and learning gains.
Being in third grade, my students take the FCAT at the end of the year.
Many students are not motivated in the classroom because they are busy thinking about video games and such. With this type of technology in the classroom, I feel that I can capture their attention back towards learning and how fun it can be.
