Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our class came back this year from remote learning, as so many others are. Learning remotely was not an easy task. My students have come to my class at various levels. It is one of my greatest challenges this year. My students are very hard working, and are enthusiastic about being back at school.

My Project

My students are third graders but I have students that are reading at kinder, first and second grade levels. I do not have books that are on their level in my class.

I would like to be able to provide them with activities and reading lessons that do not overwhelm them, so that they can gradually catch up and learn reading skills and strategies, starting at their own level.

My students are hard workers, they want to learn. Many didn’t hve reliable Wi-Fi at home to be able to master their grade level standards last year. Now that they are in person, I would like to help decrease the learning loss, ones student at a time.
