Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My fifth grade classroom is a room full of creative and caring students. The students range in age from 10 to 12. My school is located in Las Vegas in a very high need community. Our school is a STEM academy, where students invent, explore, and create. They have a unique joy for learning and come to school each day eager to learn.
I love to see them grow and succeed every day using the diverse skills they learn both inside and outside the classroom.
My Project
My students love moving around the classroom while they learn. Some like to cozy up in the library with a good book and a comfy reading pillow. Others like to be able to stand and complete their work using a clipboard and their iPad.
These resources will allow my students to learn the way they feel comfortable and communicate their learning is diverse ways.
With stylus pens, clipboards, and mobile lap tables, my students will be able to be active while learning and communicating their knowledge. This will also allow them to transition between my classroom and other classroom or science labs with ease.
