This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a very special first grade class. Though the school year is very different, my students are excited for the day. They come with different needs and are very supportive of one another. They are kind and respectful to their peers and myself.
What I love most about my students is their positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
They always look forward to learning something new. They really love to collaborate with one another and demonstrate their learning. I am honored to be their teacher!
My Project
Providing my students with a color blocks rug to sit on during carpet time will be very beneficial as it will allow me to also provide them with rich learning. Color blocks rugs provide students with a designated area to sit at. Here, they are close to the teacher and have no distractions.
A color blocks rug will allow my students to receive a great education as it will provide them with a flexible seating environment.
This flexible seating environment allows students to remain fully focused as they are learning.
