Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

We are an energetic, inquisitive, smart, and excited community of thoughtful thinkers. We are diverse in many ways: culturally, economically, racially, and in terms of our interests.

Despite our differences, we come together in the classroom to create a rigorous learning community.

Together, we discover how our similarities and differences inform our understanding of the world and our learning. We are excited to tackle a new year of exploration and learning together. Our school is undergoing a transition and we would appreciate your support.

My Project

My students need storage book boxes. Currently, I am using small desks. The desks do not allow students to see and utilize the materials in their desks. These storage boxes will allow students to store and retrieve the materials they need easily. In addition, students will be can become mobile with this portable space. This will help the students to grow as global, young thinkers. My goal is to set up students with flexibility as they access knowledge. Imagine what we can do! We will be able to create an environment where the students will want to read, think, and learn about the world around them.
