My students need a set of 8 carry chairs to help make their reading and learning on the iPads more enjoyable and to be able to go to a private area in the classroom.

My Students

My students attend a low performing school. My students have many challenges that they face at home. So our classroom is their safe place to learn and achieve the success they so deserve. They want to strive for excellence and I want to help them reach their goals.

My students love to sit in different areas of the classroom to read.

They are very active and love to explore by reading books. Every day is a chance for me to uplift my students. They sometimes may come in from having lots of difficulties at home or just personal issues within. I found that having a smile on my face each day and giving continued positive reinforcement make such a difference in their attitude towards others and their work.

My Project

My students are very active, as most students are. They love to get a book or their iPads and move around the room to read or do their activities. But they must sit on the floor in order to do any of this. Having the carry around chairs would be so very beneficial for them. They could take a chair to any area of the room and read or do their activity. This allows the students to be able to truly enjoy what they are doing without being uncomfortable.

Resources that are available are limited in our low-income area.

These students deserve all that I can provide for them and much more. Being able to make their learning experience more enjoyable is #1 on my list.
