Learning on Our Community Carpet

Help me give my students a new classroom carpet for use during whole group, small group, and independent learning opportunities.

My Project

This project is for a new classroom carpet because I want to replace my old existing carpet to have nice, comfortable, and clean area in the classroom for my students to work. I feel that classroom carpets not only brighten up the room and make it a more engaging environment, but they also promote a positive learning environment and encourage cooperation between students. By having a classroom carpet, my students will be able to complete classwork independently or in groups, complete different centers within groups, and practice different skills.

I feel that the more comfortable they are with myself, the classroom, and each other, the better they will learn.

I think it is important for every student to feel safe and comfortable in their classroom to promote learning. Having flexible seating options allows for students to learn in different settings that will fit their individual learning styles. This carpet will replace our community in the front of our classroom that we use daily for whole group instruction during reading and math, as well as providing a comfortable space for them to work independently or with partners.
