Learning Math Concepts Through Literature

Help me give my students the opportunity to connect math concepts to real world examples through literature! Using Math Stories will keep students engaged when introducing and reviewing math skills.

My Students

The students I work with are some of the most creative, inspiring and hard working kids you will meet. I have the privilege to work with students in kindergarten through 5th grade who need additional support in math. I focus on building conceptual knowledge of numbers and operations through manipulatives, pictures, games, and projects.

I am able to work with students for multiple years and being able to see their confidence build through throughout the years is amazing to watch.

My Project

Students will take part in read aloud using the math stories that cover the concepts they are currently studying. The stories keep students engaged through their colorful illustrations and entertaining story lines while they are learning math vocabulary and skills at the same time.

These stories will bring math to life for students.

I am always looking for ways to bring excitement to math and using these stories will do just that. Each collection will provide multiple titles for all the different grade levels that I work with and cover multiple math topics. Encouraging literacy and math is a win win!
