My Students
My students are excited about learning. They are curious and ask lots of questions about the world around them. Each student works hard and brings their own individual strengths to our classroom community. They are kind to each other and help to build each other up. They celebrate each other other's successes and strive to include each other.
My students love to read and experience new books!
We enjoy learning through both fiction and nonfiction stories. My students are deep thinkers and always amaze me with their insights on what we are learning. They love to use technology and learn more about the world.
My Project
My students love to learn! The materials in this project will give them better access to the learning tools.
We do a biography project each year where the students read a biography about an influential person.
They write a report about that person and the positive impact they've had on the world. The books selected for this project will provide book options for diverse people and introduce my students to people they may have never heard of. I have also included a Judy Moody book that we can read and enjoy as a class as we practice reading and comprehension skills.
Access to technology and learning tools is essential! This project includes headphones and charging cords that the students can use in class and at home to access their learning activities. The headphones help the students to stay focused on their own work and avoid distractions. We have had days of virtual learning and times when students are not able to come to school for a few days. The charging cords will allow the students to keep their Chromebooks charged at home.
The remaining items for this project are math manipulatives. We learn about time and fractions. The hands-on tools will help these concepts become more concrete for the students.
All of these things will greatly enhance the learning in our classroom!
