Learning Materials and Sensory Equipment for New Therapy Room

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Help us provide new learning materials and sensory equipment to address the needs of our students with disabilities so that they can excel and reach their full potential.
Our students have significant difficulties communicating, self-regulating, and interacting with their peers.
The funds for this project will be used to purchase learning materials and sensory equipment to foster a more engaging and accessible learning environment during their speech, occupational, and physical therapy sessions.
New games, learning materials, and manipulatives will help our students further develop skills such as engaging in conversation, problem solving, making inferences, and identifying their feelings during speech therapy sessions.
The yoga ball and trampoline will allow students to receive proprioceptive and vestibular input to remain calm and focused while engaging in occupational and physical therapy. The weighted pads, wrap, and chair bands will be used to support their sensory needs and enhance their learning.
Our students are special and unique. They deserve a therapy room that will provide opportunities for them to improve their social, fine motor, and gross motor skills while also addressing their sensory needs in the educational environment.
