My Project
I adore my students! I love learning about their cultures, about them and opening up a world to them by fostering their English language acquisition. For learning to occur, there needs to be a level of readiness and accessibility in our classroom. As an itinerant teacher, I travel around to different buildings in the district daily and don't always have access to everything my students and I need to be successful. I am asking for a fan since my rooms are not used until I get there, my door and windows stay closed, it makes for a very warm room in both winter and summer months. A printer for us to be able to use for our classroom. I use technology to teach my students how to use it and care for it like it's their own. The laminator and supplies for us to make manipulatives and have access to one, most of my schools do not currently have one. We use our dry erase markers on them to try to cut down on waste. Mini play doh for fine motor skills work. After being remote, some of the students have not held a pencil and written in awhile. We use the play doh to strengthen our hands and help build stamina for pencil holding and writing.
My students deserve to feel comfortable in their learning environment, have materials that they need to be successful, and learn technology and technological care.
