Help me give my students whom are special needs the tools and resources they need to thrive, such as adaptive learning materials, sensory-friendly supplies and toys (sensory squishes) and a supportive classroom environment where every child can succeed.

My Project

What I love most about my students is their joy, creativity, and the unique way each of them engages with the world. My K–5 special needs students are some of the most resilient, creative, and joyful children you’ll ever meet. They experience the world in unique ways, and many of them light up when they hear music or see bright, engaging colors. What they need most is a learning space that meets them where they are—full of comfort, color, and tools designed just for them.

We’re requesting sensory tools, adaptive furniture like soft chairs and bean bags, communication devices, and learning materials that incorporate sound and vibrant visuals to engage their senses and support their development.

These items will help our students self-regulate, focus, and communicate more effectively.

We also urgently need a new classroom rug. Our current one has mildew and mold, which makes it unsafe for the floor-based activities that are essential to many of our learners. A clean, comfortable rug will allow our students to sit, play, and learn together safely.

With your support, we can create a classroom that feels like a second home—one filled with music, color, comfort, and possibility. Thank you for helping us unlock the full potential of every child.
