Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

In our classroom, we have many students with hard home lives. Our classroom is a place of security and belonging for many. My kids are wonderful and put a smile on my face every single day, even the lousy days. They are funny, outgoing, and most of all caring. We are one big team of learners. They push themselves and their peers to work harder, speak kinder, and spread love. They inspire me to become a better teacher and person every day.

My Project

We love using technology in our classroom. Every time the kiddos have an opportunity to use their chromebooks or SMARTboard they are over the moon. Adding "OSMO" to our classroom will give the students an opportunity to learn how to use an iPad in a fun and meaningful way. As their website states, Osmo enables the iPad and iPhone to merge the power of physical play with the digital advantages of real-time feedback. Playing beyond the screen invites students to collaborate on tables or floors while manipulating tangible game pieces such as number tiles, letter tiles, and coding blocks. We cannot wait to put this bad boy to use. Thank you!
