This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school is a newcomers school that has seen a large influx of refugees coming from Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador since September. These students are sweet and resilient. They are happy to be in school and they are working very hard to catch up with the rest of the students. However, these students are coming to us with little or no formal education; and no knowledge of the English Language. To help our students succeed in Middle School, we are committed to teach them English, Math skills, Critical Thinking, Drawing and Coding in a fun way, through OSMO hands-on activities.
