This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Since my students need more practice than others to learn basic skills, they need to practice basic cooking skills at school. I would like to be able to teach my students how to make simple meals that they can prepare for themselves at home. I am looking forward to teaching to safely cook one-pot meals and heat up frozen foods. Meals at school also have the benefit of learning appropriate social skills used during a meal.

The dishes and flatware will give my students a way to eat the meals they prepare, and the dishcloths and towels will allow them to practice washing their dishes after a meal.
