This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Smiling sometimes toothless grins greet me every morning as we walk into our colorful classroom to begin our day in a Dual Language Program.

My students are eager to learn and they need multiple opportunities to practice their language skills in English and in Spanish.

I work in a Title I school in a low income area. Our entire school qualifies for free lunch. We have a very limited amount of computers in our school so my kids only get to use them one a week.

My Project

I want to provide a learning center for my students where they can use 4 HP notebooks to access the Internet to practice important skills in both English and Spanish.

My students' parents want to give their kids more opportunities in the future so they enrolled them in the Dual Program at our school.

Education is a way to accomplish a dream. My students are excited to learn and be part of the bright future ahead of us. Being able to work with technology would give my students a leg up not only in academics, but in the language and tools of tomorrow.
