This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are amazing to spend the entire day with. They are a joy to be around and light up once they get into the school building. In Kindergarten, we are learning words and how to sound them out. The materials requested will help students learn in a fun way while never really knowing they are learning how to read. The other items that are on this project will help students develop a creative mind while conducting purposeful play. I would like baby dolls for my students so while they are playing house they will have a representation of themselves in the classroom. The animals in this project are for purposeful play. I have some students who are obsessed with animals and I don’t have any in the classroom. It would be my desire to see their passion come forth within the room, so much that they will write about animals and research it. Students are always looking for a way to express themselves, and purposeful play is the means of having them do so.

The goal of this project is to create and develop minds that will love to experience the world through a different lens.
