Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is made up of students from a variety of backgrounds. I have students from Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, and various parts of the U.S. Fourth grade is an exciting time, and each of my students brings something new and creative to offer to our class community.

The school itself sits in a neighborhood that is considered historic and is home to many ESL families.

Our school is a Title I community that desires to serve and grow our students.

My Project

Starting the year with new pencil sharpeners, and fresh markers and crayons brightens up anyone's day, as do a variety of pencils! I myself am a visual learner so being able to make colorful charts and displays is important to me, and I find more often than not it also helps my students.

Having a small fan to plug in to help us cool off on hot days, especially after recess is also an important thing!

It is still a bit of an adjustment coming back into the school building with everyone in person, and being able to have a warm environment will make us all feel a little more at home!
