My Students

My students come from various socioeconomic backgrounds and ethnicities. Our school is considered a low-income school and our funding is very limited. We welcome all students to our fantastic school community and celebrate our diverse population. We have a transient population with many special needs and our staff works tirelessly to meet those needs. Even with these challenges and differences, our staff strives to provide engaging lessons to build excitement for learning in all academic areas. Our students desire a deeper and richer understanding of science, technology, engineering, math, and art.

My Project

This year is definately a year like no other! I am currently traveling to all of my classes during the day. Students cannot work in groups and share materials. This has changed my whole approach in the STEAM Lab. I am trying to bring fun Steam activities to them in their classrooms. I am working hard to provide students with fun individual learning activities as well as give them time to decompress from these unprecidented learning environmental changes. I want to be able to provide students with new manipulatives to encourage them to continue using their imagination and keep them thinking.
