My Students

I have a group of 25 inquisitive kindergartners. Our school is part of an amazing community and we all work together to ensure each student loves learning. I have a diverse group of students ranging in ages from four to six years old.

They love to create, explore, play, and work together.

They are eager to learn and love hands-on experiences. They are energetic and inquisitive and full of wonder. Every day they come to school ready to learn and grow their love of learning.

My Project

This project will give my students hands-on materials to use in math whole group and small group. The math skills write wipe boards can be used the entire year on a variety of skills such as number identification, counting, ten frames, and addition. The base 10, number bingo, and number match-up will give the students engaging hands-on practice for independent math centers. The touch and feel capsules will be used in science with our theme of the 5 senses. The students have so much fun with this theme and will be so excited to have tactile materials to go along with the different senses. We also spend a lot of time focusing on social and emotional learning, and the photo library cards will be a perfect addition to our second-step program to discuss the pictures during circle time. These materials will help make learning fun and engaging for my students!
