My Students
I teach 20 hard working, amazing first grade students in a low income, small East Texas town. They love to work with hands-on activities, make creative art projects, play games, and learn through technology. My students do not respond as positively to worksheets or seat work activities as they do to physically manipulating skills with manipulatives or using a device.
I strive to make my classroom a fun and exciting, but also engaging learning environment for all of my students.
My Project
My students need phonics activities to use during station time. These games will reinforce their reading skills and help to develop them into independent readers. They will be able to practice blends, diagraphs, vowel sounds, along with sight words and many other reading skills. We also need some math station activities for our class. These station kits will bring a new level of excitement to our classroom for the students. Students learn best in a small group, hands on environment and with these kits, my students will be able to extend their learning on the skills we have covered. We will be so grateful for your donation.
