Help me give my students a healthy snack to help them refocus in the afternoon.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are the most vivacious, creative, responsible, energetic, and eager to learn five years old I have ever seen.
My little dreamers want to be the marine biologists, firefighters, teachers, and police officers of the future.
Of those 26, some are English learners, and others receive different services as stated in their IEPs. They all have a think win-win attitude and do their personal best to contribute to our classroom community.
Our school is a Title I school located in a poor neighborhood that is richly diverse.
My Project
The food items that I selected will help my students focus on their learning and not the rumbling in their stomachs! We are in need of accessible snacks because those students that arrive late to school, miss breakfast and are required to wait until lunch to eat. There are even students that are in need of snacks for home on occasion.
Having snacks in our classroom will allow my students to focus on instruction and not worry about the rumbling in their stomachs or how much time they have until lunch.
Also, their lunch is early and by mid-day they are restless and hungry.
I have found that when students have their basic needs met, they feel good about themselves are more likely to engage in instruction and take positive academic risks.
