Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
We don't live in a black-and-white world; why are we forcing our students to learn this way? Let's bring learning to back to life with full color!
When students see their creations printed in full color and displayed, they will feel valued, proud, and empowered.
Unfortunately, they don't have access to color printers at home either. Because of this project, my students will be more invested in their work because they look forward to professional and colorful publications in our class.
This project would also significantly impact teaching and learning in our class. Quality color will improve the learning experience of students with learning disabilities such as dyslexia or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It should not be a luxury to learn in color, especially with special-needs students. I can adjust color and contrast to fit my student's individual needs: not all students get the same handout, notes, or worksheet.
I will be able to create interactive visual aids for our classroom. These teacher-created resources will provide students full access to complex content specifically targeting their current educational and developmental needs.
