Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students live in a diverse community, ethnically, socially, and economically. They are 9-11 year olds who love to learn but want to have fun while doing it. Their imaginations run wild which allows them to work while having fun learning. They may have more serious lives outside of school where they may not get the chance to have fun and be a kid.
My students love learning and strive to do their best.
This is a very stressful year for state testing for them so I want them to enjoy their learning.
My Project
The iPad and case will be a piece of technology to allow my students to use technology in centers safely, play learning games, and even create a few videos to share. The possibilities are endless with this ipad.
The learning games cover math, reading, and science subjects.
The games can be used in so many ways! The students can use them to play in centers independently, with partners, or in groups. I can use them in small groups for reading and math, and they can be used for independent practice that I can use for grades. I need games for them to practice reading comprehension daily in a specified journal, card for them to read and respond on what they learned, inferred, etc., quick grammar games, quick science matching based on different lessons, math file folder games, writing file folder games, and reading file folder games. This project allows my students to practice what they know and have fun doing it.
