Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at our school are so passionate and love to learn! As this school year begins, I can see the enthusiasm on all their faces already.
My students enjoy coming to school and are truly willing participants in their education.
My students are kind to one another and make teaching a joy.
As our school is a high poverty school, we need some help obtaining materials other schools take for granted. That is why I'm turning to the generous community at Donors Choose.
My Project
Having access to new technology will allow my students to benefit from the advances being made all around us. Old-school overhead projectors do not allow for streamed science videos, math instructional clips, or animated history reenactments. With a projector, I will be able to share these tools and more with my students. Furthermore, USB cameras take shared learning to another level. The class will be able to collectively edit writing, science experiments or demonstrations can be shown up close for all to see, & class discussions can easily be recorded.
Being from a low income area should not mean my students have restricted access to resources.
In many schools, a projector and USB camera are standard. Please help my students share in the expansive benefits of these pieces of technology!
