My Project

The materials and supplies I am requesting for my students will allow them a safe space to calm down and refocus. I want to create a safe space in the classroom for students with autism and sensory needs. The card stock paper and laminating sheets will allow me to set individual schedules for students and make copies available not only in my classroom but also when they go to music, art, or phy. ed., etc. Copying onto a thicker paper and making them more durable allows them to be used longer!

The tent is portable and can be used in any classroom the student goes to.

The weighted blanket and fidgets will allow students to go to an area within the room and still be part of the group; listening to what is being taught yet using the tools to relax, focus, and calm down and allow them to get back to their table area to finish their work.
