I love where I work. Not only do we have a wonderful staff, the students are simply amazing. The students love to try new things and explore. They always give their best and work very hard. I am so very proud of my students.
At my school, 100% of students receive a free breakfast and lunch.
They come to school and eat breakfast. This helps them to be focused for the day ahead of them. They work so hard for me, and I want to create an environment that reflects the hard work they put in while at school by providing them with fun and engaging tools to use.
My Project
I want to offer another learning space in the classroom that students can choose to sit in. This space will allow more flexibility as these floor chairs have backs on them so the students can move them to a space where they can work and focus. Being comfortable allows students to focus for longer amounts of time.
Having a comfortable and exciting work space will help to engage the learners in my classroom!
My first graders are moving at all moments of the day. They like to work in different areas and not always sit in the same spot. They love choices, and so I would love to offer them a different place they can choose to work to become even more amazing then they already are!
