Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember sitting in metal, hard chairs as a child in school? This traditional seating makes peer collaboration a struggle! My students love to interact with each other through academic discussions and group work assignments. We need the seats that encourage discussions and group work.

My students are thoughtful, creative, and intuitive young learners who thrive on interaction and collaboration with their peers.

They come to school each day ready to learn, have fun, and grow together academically an personally. They are an inspiring group of students!

My Project

All children need to sit and concentrate in school, but younger children need the opportunity to move. Hokki stools allow students to do both things at once! Using stools in place of chairs will improve core strength, balance and coordination, while students engage in their daily learning activities. Regular classroom chairs can have negative effects of students' posture and spinal column. Hokki stools allow students to move around outside the normal range of a chair, while minimizing distractions to other students.

An active body equals an active mind!

Having the ability to build core strength while performing academic skills will help the diverse learners in my classroom focus and feel successful and confident.
