Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Help build relationships while learning! My students need to master pro social skills and these blocks will help build a foundation of sharing, friendship, and creativity in learning.
Our school has adopted the Boys Town Behavior Management system.
This program is a token economy system and these building blocks will be used to meet a wide range of components in the system. These building blocks will help students build a love of school. The building blocks will be used for math lessons, social skills lessons, and an opportunity for students to use the points they have earned. Building blocks would be added to the purchasing menu and students can purchase time to play with them. While using the blocks students will not only have hand held manipulative, but also a source to work on social skills like sharing and team work. Building blocks will also provide students with the ability to express themselves creatively.
My Project
These building blocks will motivate students to want to work with others in all academic and social emotional learning situations. Due to the uniqueness of each individuals disabilities a variety of block sizes are needed so that all students can fully participate and grow their academic and pro social skills knowledge.
By engaging students in all areas of learning, they will be more productive in their futures.
By learning pro social skills students will be able to go back to their home schools and be active and positive members of their classroom.
