Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic, driven, fifth-grade students. They are highly motivated and love organized activities, especially sports. My awesome class consists of mixed ability academic learners. My school is a Title I school where teachers and parents are equally involved in helping these students prepare for college and beyond. Most students receive free or reduced lunch. My awesome fifth graders are eager learners and are always willing to put in all their effort into anything they do and set their minds to.
My Project
In my lessons I use anchor papers and teaching tools in order to teach concepts. It helps if they're printed in color since it grabs students' attention.
I will use the ink to print out math learning tools such as place value charts, decimal grids, and even hundreds charts to teach math concepts.
For language arts, I will use the ink to print out additional resources such as engaging texts and articles that are high interest for students to practice comprehension skills. A document camera will be used to present while students are learning from home.
