This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials I am requesting is to support my students academic language acquistion by allowing them to see what objects look like in color and not just in black and white ink.
Young students need to be engaged with what they're learning and seeing something in color is a lot more engaging.
With the color ink I can make engaging vocabulary cards to go along with read a louds in English and Spanish. I have also used color ink to print for math lessons. Patterns, counting printed objects, and printing materials for sorting is much more engaging when they are in color!
