My Project
My kiddos are amazing! I teach 1st Grade and most of my kids are 6-7 years old and love coming to school. They are so excited to learn. I try to keep that momentum going by making learning fun with academic games and colorful activities. In order to keep things new and interesting I have kids work in collaborative groups where they can develop social skills while learning.
My goal for this project is for my students to interact with passages/articles/learning games that show clear colorful images which will lead to deeper understanding and better connections.
So many times black/white images do not show details and are distorted from copying that they do not provide the students with information needed to make connections, understand what they are reading and practice these skills. This will help tremendously! The supplies will also allow me to use what I print and laminate for not only this year's students but years to come.
