This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A colored printer and colored toner would be a great addition to our classroom. There are SO many educational resources that would capture the attention and motivate the students if only they were in color instead of black and white.
Each student in my classroom is unique and special in their own way, however they all share one thing.
They come to school each day and are enthusiastic and eager to learn new things! Our school is located in a large urban city. The neighborhood that our school is located in is very impoverished. The school does not get much money for supplies. The teachers in our school do not have access to a colored printer. When we want something printed in color, we have to do it at home which becomes very costly.
My Project
There are so many uses for a colored printer and toner in our classroom. Students will be able to have access to printed leveled readers in color which will increase the students' interest and excitement for reading. The students will also be able to actively learn through colorful games and learning centers/activities. Learning opportunities could be differentiated for the students.
This project will benefit all the students in my classroom.
Having a colored printer with toner in our classroom would make learning more exciting and engaging for the students. Being able to offer engaging activities and meet the needs of each students will help in closing the achievement gap. Please help our classroom!
