My Project

There are so many ways that incorporating games can help my students learn and grow!

Group Collaboration is key: All of the selected games encourage teamwork, communication, and critical thinking, making my ELA lessons more interactive and engaging.

Bananagrams for Vocabulary Building: Students race to create word grids using vocabulary from current readings, reinforcing spelling and word comprehension.

Apples to Apples for Word Choice: Students match nouns to descriptive adjectives, learning about connotation, denotation, and persuasive language through discussion and reasoning.

Pictionary for Visualizing Literary Concepts: Students illustrate vocabulary words, themes, or characters from class texts, enhancing their understanding through visual representation.

Cranium for Multifaceted Learning: Combining word games, drawing, and acting, students engage in creative writing, grammar challenges, and acting out literary scenes or characters.

Storytelling with Cranium:Use Cranium’s prompts for students to craft creative narratives or act out scenes, boosting their understanding of plot structure and character development.

Synonyms and Antonyms with Pictionary: Students draw visual representations of synonyms or antonyms, strengthening their grasp of language and word relationships.

Apples to Apples for Theme and Character Analysis: Customize the game with words and concepts from novels or plays, encouraging students to think critically about themes and character traits.

Group Collaboration: All games encourage teamwork, communication, and critical thinking, making ELA lessons more interactive and engaging.
