Learning in a Warm and Friendly Classroom Environment!

Help me give my students a more enjoyable reading and working space in the classroom; creating a warm and inviting place for kids to work with a metal bench and clipboards is important and has been proven to help kids become more successful.

My Students

I love being a teacher and my students are very special to me. Everyday I am finding new ways to make them love coming to school even more! Students need an environment that makes them feels safe, and is fun and inviting to them! All my students come from different backgrounds, but what keeps them the same is that they are kids eager to learn, have fun, explore, help each other and do the best that they can do everyday.

My Project

I am so excited that I have recently been allowed to paint the inside of my classroom. The walls have always been a boring gray and it always felt so cold in there! I pitched the idea to my new principal about painting something on the wall so that the kids can have a fun, warm and exciting reading area for them to read and do work at. When he agreed, I was so excited. I had a parent willing to paint the wall for me. She made a huge mural on the wall and I now have a such an exciting reading garden for the kids to sit at. It has tall flowers, butterflies, ladybugs, tall grass and much more. It changes the whole room and the kids are in awe! The only thing missing is a cute reading bench for them to sit at and some clip boards to lean on when they want to do their work there. I have incorporated flexible seating this year and it has been great! This will only help add to it.
