My Students

Welcome! Thank you for visiting our page. My Pre-K classroom community is one in which students are activating their senses currently through virtual educational and social experiences designed to foster skills needed for a strong transition into Kindergarten.

We are located in the inner city of Pittsburgh, students aged 3-5 years old that are low income are provided with a free comprehensive program that is designed to nurture and boost each students' individual distinctive strengths, as well as cultivate, encourage, and support their families.

Our diverse and inclusive classroom has been virtual since March of 2019, but that hasn't stopped our learning adventures! Each day is filled with a new learning experiences awaiting students, in which they can enthusiastically discover, question, interact and grow. My educational assistant and I try to instill and maintain an excitement and love for learning, even if it is being done through a computer or iPad screen, that will be there for years to come in their educational journeys.

My Project

My students and I have been learning virtually since March of 2019 and while this isn't how we ever expected to experience Pre-K and many of their first learning experiences to go, we are doing the best we can and they are rocking it! Some days are better than others, but my students are showing up everyday ready to learn. When we are not learning live together, I am researching and planning our next experiences. There are so many wonderful resources out there that my students could benefit from, but it I were to purchase even half of them I would be broke!

Having the access and availability to purchase educational materials to use while we continue to virtually learn would increase student engagement, participation and learning during our experiences.

Teachers Pay Teachers is an extraordinary site that allows teachers to collaborate and share materials to enhance learning experiences for all students. Being able to purchase some of these teachers made materials will help me to plan and provide students with meaningful and fun learning experiences.
