My Students

My students deserve the best education possible. They are extremely talented, energetic fifth graders, who always seem to put out their best effort in all that they do.

This year's fifth graders live in Manhattan's Chinatown.

They are superstars! Many of them are English Language Learners and students with special learning needs. Many live in single parent homes or they live with grandparents while their parents live in another state. Each student receives free or reduced-price lunch. No matter what they face each and every day they give it their all each and every day with a smile!

My Project

On the Friday before the pandemic hit and NYC schools shut down our school decided to get ready. That day all of the Chromebooks that I had in stock were given out to students that did not have technology at home.

Now that we are beginning blended learning, I need a set of Lenovo computers for my classroom.

As a 5th grade teacher all most all of the work will be completed on a computer using Google Classroom and other websites such as LexiCore5 for phonics and grammar. GeoGebra, Zearn and other math websites. For science and social studies we will be taking virtual field trips around the world. This year will be an interesting year, who knows what to expect but one thing is for sure my students will be ready to learn.
