Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students in grades 6-8 all have diverse needs and learning styles, many of which have reading and writing levels below their grade level. Nevertheless, my students motivate me to provide them with engaging, thought provoking, and interpretive lessons.
My students appreciate and react well to visual representations of history through music, films, and art.
They are particularly interested in dramatizations of historical events that they have studied and analyzed. My students also love to learn about history through music. During these lessons my students analyze lyrics and hear music from the time periods being studied.
My Project
My classroom is in need of a speaker for educational purposes. I have been using a six year old Bluetooth speaker that is starting to break and not hold a charge. These materials will allow me to continue utilizing videos in my lessons, which my students love. I also like to incorporate music into my lessons, and relaxing music during independent silent work.
My auditory and visual learners will be able to continue excelling in my classroom.
My goal is to provide engaging learning activities for all of my students. My classroom is diverse and contains many learning styles that I engage with.
