My Students

Our class is a mix of different backgrounds, interests, and abilities. That's what makes each one of them special! We love reading the poem about the box of crayons and each different color makes the picture complete.

Our class is like a box of crayons and each students is different but completes our class with their unique talents and traits.

Each one of these kids started kindergarten at a different place, especially with Covid-19 affecting preschool attendance and parents having to work from home. Our students are all working towards their own goals. We are working together as a class to help everyone achieve success whatever that may be for them!

My Project

The ability to move in their chair is very helpful for many kindergarten students who have difficulty sitting still or staying in their seat. When their muscle are engaged they are able to to stay seated and focus on learning. The jellyfish seating and wiggle cushions will give me the ability to provide an inclusive and flexible learning environment that meets the needs of each one of my students.

Flexible seating options provide many learning opportunities for students.

A few examples of this are learning to share, taking turns and problem solving to decided who will get to sit on them. These are skill that many students need to develop further coming into kindergarten because of social distancing during the pandemic.
