Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Each year that goes by shows time and time again that the light table is one of the "coolest" centers to go to. Children are in awe when that bright light turns on and the colorful manipulatives come to life! My students have enjoyed stacking, counting, making patterns, and creating all sorts of buildings, creatures, letters, numbers and so much more!
Since most children learn best visually and kinesthetically, a variety of light table toys will help engage children in math, literacy, science, fine motor and encourage creativity!
While my students absolutely love our light table, playing with the same manipulatives becomes a little redundant. I would love to have the opportunity to switch out materials periodically and give children plenty of manipulatives to choose from. This would help keep children engaged and excited about learning through play!
