This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you remember how boring worksheets were? My special needs students know that pain! They need some learning games to help practice the skills they are learning from their interventions.

My students range in age from first to fifth grade and all struggle with reading.

Most of my students are diagnosed with learning disabilities and are reading two to three years below grade level. They all attend public school and are struggling to make growth in reading.

My Project

My students will benefit from these materials because it will make learning FUN! These materials are going to be used to reinforce intensive interventions that the students are receiving in the Learning Center. They will use the games and activities to practice the skills they learn.

My project is important because the students in my Learning Center struggle with reading and have lost the "fun" that we used to find in school.

By providing them with learning games rather than "practice" worksheets they will have an opportunity to experience the fun of learning!
