I work at a school where there is a wide variety of needs. I am a special education teacher and this is my first year teaching. I have 9 students on my caseload meaning I write their IEP's, yield parent concerns, and communicate with their general education teachers everyday. I also teach a resource math class where I teach students who cannot learn in the general education math classes.
I come into contact with 14 amazing students in my classroom and each one of my children deserves the ability to read and learn in a fun and exciting environment that meets their individual needs.
I would love to buy my students the world, but as a first year teacher, I find it difficult to buy everything I need to start up my classroom and buy everything I think my students need.
My Project
I am a first year teacher and I teach middle school students who are receiving special education services. I cannot afford to pay for these items out of my own pocket, but my students could really use them! My students struggle with organization and blurting out. The whiteboards and organizational tools listed above could really help them.
My students deserve so much, and I wish I could give them everything!
As a first year teacher, I have a lot that I need and cannot afford to buy it all and my students need these items now. The binders will be used in math class to give my students an organized set of notes. The white boards and markers will be used in math when I ask the students a math question and they can write the answer as opposed to blurting out. The pocket chart will be used to help organize the different papers needed in order to run a special education classroom. Thank you so much for you contribution!
