I teach at a small, Title I school, in Central Texas.
Being a Title I school comes with the challenge of being able to provide our precious students with the best materials and experiences possible. I am second year teacher in a kindergarten classroom of 15 students. My students are eager and excited to learn and experience things they wouldn't have the opportunity to other wise. We make every day an adventure with songs, hands-on activities, and exploration of the world around us.
My Project
At Dr. Jean's PK-1 Summer Camp, educators from pre-K, kindergarten, and first grade classrooms will come together to enrich their professional skills and ideas. This event from August 6-7, 2015, would help me reach my professional development goals and invest in my students' academic growth.
This conference will give me the opportunity to learn from one of the best educators in the nation.
I will be able to inject new life into my teaching by learning new, active, energetic, and challenging experiences that will connect to the latest brain research and nurture essential skills.
