Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
At the end of the year, I want to celebrate the incredible growth and achievements of all my preschool students by giving each one a special gift bag. I hope to provide each child with a small gift containing fun and creative items. These include age-appropriate storybooks to promote literacy and simple manipulatives like playdough, chalk, crayons, sand buckets, and bubbles to keep little hands and minds active over the summer. In addition, each gift bag will have a personalized certificate celebrating the unique strengths of that child, whether it's growing confidence with numbers, developing fine motor skills, emerging reading skills, or simply being a caring friend. Because my students have developmental needs, I am including sensory toys like squishes and fidget toys to calm and focus. By sending my preschoolers home with these simple yet meaningful gifts, I hope to show them that we see and value their hard work, growth, and special qualities. Your support will ensure all my students feel cared for and celebrated as amazing learners!
